The Bald Spot Boys on VH1's Behind the Music
From humble beginnings as Wal-mart greeters to weathering modern day age-ism and hair-lash; from the top of Billboard's list of Most Popular Middle Aged All Boy Fivesomes to the dark follicles of betrayal from within; Behind the Music's fascinating music-ography, The Rise and Fall and Rise Again of The Bald Spot Boys, brings current and former band members together to, for the first time, tell their own stories - the sweet spring of 1995 when the Boy's single, "Quit Playing Games With My Hair" hit the top of the charts; the Rogaine lawsuit of 1997; the baby toe pain endured by band member, Josh, and its effect on their intense dance routines; and that terrible night in 1999 when the boys discovered the Hair Head living among them. Feel their pain as they openly discuss the subsequent break-up; each man's jealousy of former member Conrad's best selling solo album, "Last Strand Standing;" and the days of reconciliation that followed the tragic death of their youngest member, Philippe'. The special concludes with a live performance where The Boys perform songs from their first new album in nine years, "Receded but Not Deleted." Viewers can also, via a special 800 number, make donations to the "Bald Spot Boy's Fund for Brush-Binging Sufferers" established by remaining members in honor of Philippe.' Don't miss the once in a hairline special TV Guide calls, "Two hours of pure lovemaking to their fans from the boys who brought to the forefront the struggles of the folically impaired the world over, and taught us all that one doesn't have to have hair to have heart."
